Keep in mind that the iMac's i5 is actually QUAD-CORE. The MacBook Pro's i5 is DUAL-CORE with 4 threads. So big difference there.

@omalbari: Im acually buying a new macbook pro soon. After i got the imac i dont need the 15inch screen, and my macbook pro is getting a bit old. Just need to wait and see what apple does with theire next line of macbook`s.

The difference is the harddrive i guess. The imac runs 7200rpm and the macbook pro have 5400rpm. I really dont think the cpu and memory makes a lot of difference in these kind of tests.

So, I concluded that the differences was not so high, right? it might be only 5-8 second.

safari, itunes and that stuff is pretty much the same. photoshop, rendering videos playing and videoediting is way faster on the imac.
